I bought this product a few months ago and I LOVED it, so when the pen dried out I bought another just like it. However, the new pen smudged pretty badly even though it said it was waterproof, and the smudges were kind if a dark green color, as if the green was part of the dye. When I removed the eyeliner that evening with micellar water, a green line stayed behind (photo provided)! Maybe it was just a poorly blended dye or something from the batch I bought from, so that is something to be on the lookout for. Since it is so inexpensive, Ill probably buy it again and hope that it will be better. See more

This is pretty cool, but you must store it pointed down so the fluid stays near the tip. It runs out pretty quickly so some shaking is required. Youll get more use from a traditional pencil, but this glides on pretty well for a while.

Its cheap and fun to use. Unfortunately the mess doesnt make it worth it for me. The eyeliner smudges into my eye... and dyes the whites of my eyes green. The "midnight" color is actually a dark teal when wet/diluted. As I was rinsing out my eye (took about 4 times) it got green streams everywhere. Though green tears do look pretty cool I imagine this would be an even bigger pain to get off my eyelids if it had been allowed to dry completely. Dyed eyes are not really the look Im going for. I drew an eye on my arm with the liner, added a drop of water, and then took a picture of the residual ink after one hand washing with soap for reference. See more

I prefer this product over others because it gives me great control of use. It lasts without smearing and give me the ability to draw even the finest line. I first tried it because of the price, but continue to use it because of quality. Thank you Elf.

This liner is very precise and easy to apply. The pen makes it easy to get the liner even and clean, whereas other types of liquid eyeliner are hard to get straight and are super messy. I like to use it for wing tip eyeliner, because its so easy to make a precise wing without smudging. However, the eyeliner isnt very thick so it doesnt go on dark or opaque. It shows up enough to be noticable, but its not exactly black. When Im looking for something bolder, I like to use it to trace out how I want it to be, and then go over it with a darker liner following the ELF liner. Overall, dispite the light opacity, I do like this eyeliner. See more
