One of the best blood glucose meters ever made. Large enough to handle easily, makes a sound when there is enough blood on the strip, and also makes a sound when your results are ready to read. I would recommend this meter over all others.

The FreeStyle FREEDOM Lite seems to be a decent meter. Its MUCH easier for me to hold onto since its bigger than the smaller standard FreeStyle Lite. But the FREEDOM meter lacks having a BACKLIT display, which could help when testing in a room thats not very well lit. I have 3 other meters, all are backlit. In fact, this is the only meter Ive seen that is NOT backlit.. Backlighting should be standard on ALL meters.. I should NOT have to get a FreeStyle Lite meter (which is too small to hold onto) in order to get a backlit display. The FreeStyle Lite and the FreeStyle FREEDOM should BOTH be backlit. See more
