Clairol Natural Instincts Hair Color, 6RR Light Red

I started using Natural Instincts because it conditioned my hair when I was 42 years old. I had no grey then. I am 67 and have only used Natural Instincts for the last 25 years. It is a good product to cover the grey that I now have. It is easy, kind to my scalp and the color is never fake looking. My concern is that several stores in my area are not carrying it or have very limited colors. Please dont discontinue this really great product.

Clairol Natural Instincts #22, Cinnaberry (Medium Auburn Brown): Used this for the first time today and Im in love! Background: my hair has been super damaged this last year, multiple color applications, both at home and at the salon. From dark brown/burgundy to rose gold; back to dark brown, then to light brown; then bleached and bleached again highlights. Im surprised I have any hair left. Six weeks ago I got 5 1/2 inches cut off due to damage. 5 weeks ago I used Olia permanent hair color in "Light Brown", which gave a nice color result but FRIED my hair. Today I wanted to change it up yet again (because Im never satisfied and easily bored). So I decided if I wanted to keep any of my hair I better use something semi-permanent. I bought this last night at Walmart for $7. I LOVE IT! This was the easiest hair color Ive ever used. Seriously. Only thing different was the instructions said to apply to damp hair, which I did. I left it on 10 minutes and it rinsed out easily. My hair felt a little dry, but I think thats my hair and the product didnt dry it out any more than it already was. The included conditioner was simply AMAZING! There was no harsh smell with this. My scalp did start to tingle/burn right at the 10 minute mark, but not bad. The color was astounding! Covered all my grays! In 10 minutes yall!!!! 10 minutes!!! I understand this will fade and wash out in a few weeks/washes, but that is fine by me. I have no problem using this every few weeks as it is super cheap, easy, fast and available. I couldnt be happier! See more

I bought and used the #4 Dark Brown Nutmeg a couple months ago and I still have great color in. At first I was a bit hesitant but I was instantly in love with the smell, the feel and the look. I love this product. My hair always feels soft and looks so smooth and shiny afterwards. I consider Natural Instincts to be one of my regular treatments as it helps me keep the frizzies away for a few weeks after I use it. This color did turn out a little lighter than I expected- indoors it looks very deep and rich, but it shows a lot of reddish highlights in the sun- probably because I used it over caramel highlights (my summer color). I still like the way it turned out-this is practically my natural hair color (which I havent seen in a long time) and its a good fall color. Ive already bought a box of Ebony Mocha, and Midnight, so I can go darker later in the year. Maybe Ill try the brass free colors if I decide I want to get rid of all the red tone in my hair. First let me start by saying Im African American with permed hair. My natural hair color is light brown. I use the burgundy blackberry immediately after a perm and the results were amazing. This product wasnt harsh on my hair and left my hair soft and smelling amazing. The initial color was a bright red (more noticeable in sun) which was beyond beautiful then after about a week it turned burgundy. After first wash it then turn to a burned orange which was also amazing. Im more than pleased with this color and plan on sticking to it for a good while. See more
