These Abbott Labs test strips are used in the Free-Style Precision Neo blood test meter. I picked this brand and model because of the very good accuracy as tested by Consumers Reports. I have tested the repeatability several times and it is normally within ±2 counts

Whenever I get a new meter I take the meter with me to the lab when I get blood work done and then compare the results. This time, one was 147 the other was 143. Its pretty amazing for a meter to be almost the same as the lab but this one was. Id say thats about as accurate as you can get. These over the counter strips are about 1/2 the cost of the ones my insurance wanted me to use, but about twice as much as other OTC meters & strips. However, I didnt have the same accurate results from the other OTC meters. And I do like that the strips are individually wrapped and the meter is so thin. It takes up less room in my purse. I havent had any trouble with errors wasting the strips like other meters. Overall, its a very accurate meter with less expensive strips and Id recommend it. See more

These strips work great with the glucometer. We have used products that when the strip is inserted into the machine, it does not immediately start the maching. We have not run into this with this meter and strips.

These test strips are fine.. Ive been using them since they came on the market. They are just as good as and are considerably less expensive than the free Style Lites I had been using.. They come in 2 package sizes, 25 strips for $13.94 and 50 strips for $19.94.. So, it makes sense to buy the 50 strip size.. However, the 50 strip packs are difficult to find. There are 3 Wal Marts close to me and they are always sold out.. No one else carries them.. So, I bought and paid for my last batch at Wal Mart . Com A mistake.. I received three 50 strip packs and one 25 strip pack but was billed for four fifties.. Ive found that you can buy them direc from Abbott Labs for the same price and they will automatically renew for you.. Ill buy them from Abbotts from now on.. See more
