I have been a lifelong Colgate girl (over 40 years), and I have loved the Total whitening formulas ever since they came out. The new formula is awful. Its messy and runs off the toothbrush before I can put it in my mouth, the aftertaste stays with me for HOURS and destroys the taste of anything Id like to eat or drink, and now after reading several reviews Im realizing the sores on my gums are probably also from this new formula. I am so sad. I am going to switch brands and feel like Im leaving a good friend behind.

I left a comment before, but it was never posted. As a dentist, I will now tell patients to avoid this toothpaste due the adverse effects of stannous fluoride. Multiple reviews show this. This is now as bad as Crest ProHealth. I tried this toothpaste to see if it would better than ProHealth, and in less than two weeks I had mouth sores. Ive already removed all Total SF from my two dental offices and my partners and I will actively tell patients to avoid this toothpaste until you change it back. What are you waiting for? You have pages of negative reviews. Listen up!!! See more

I have been a long time user of Colgate. Almost 30 years. I loved the Colgate Advance Whitening. However, the new flavor is horrible. It taste bad and it is tearing up my gums. I went to look for another kind of Colgate and was disappointed to find so many of the Colgate toothpaste are advertising this new formula. I am currently looking for a new brand. Colgate ruined a good thing

I have used the same toothpaste for many years and am very set in my ways. I even got my husband to switch whenever we got married. We both have tried the new flavor and both HATE it! It tastes terrible and makes us feel like theres a film on our teeth. Ive even felt some burning on the roof of my mouth when eating certain things. I hate this new flavor and will now have to change brands.

I am not sure what happened to the flavor from the last Total toothpaste but this is seriously, YUCK. It tastes like licking baking soda and no longer has a nice minty after taste. What the heck??! I have used this product for years and now I have to go find a new toothpaste.
